Shu Ting, or Ting as most people know her, is an immigrant, a mother and a self taught artist. Born in a small village in Southern China, Ting emigrated to New Zealand with her family at the age of nine.
Not knowing where she belonged- feeling not fully accepted in either her country of birth or the place she now calls home, she turned to art, a universal language that was able to connect people.
Her works contrast from soft, flowing florals and landscapes to sharp purposeful points of stippling pen works.
